Halloween - The Conclusion.

Since a small handfull of you might be curious as to how halloween went down (me having big plans and all), I'll finally provide a quick recap:

1. Go to the party. Bring along zombie minion/boyfriend, like a baows.

2. Strike a non-scary pose.

3. Harass pretty girls on the subway.

4. Be mistaken for a guy... many times...

5. ...For then to win two concert tickets to the Sisters of Mercy for my costume. Of course, the category was "Best Transvestite".

That's at least a small snippet of my activities that day. There is still room for improvement, but seeing as this was my first attempt at a really full-on costume, I'm quite happy with how it ended up ^^.

The makeup I used for the red and black was:
  • Snazaroo water- based face and body make-up. The color was 'bright red'.
  • Kryolan Aquacolor. I used this on for all the black parts. The color was '071'.

Mind that I used my Pore Smoothing Peach Base from Etude on my skin first, as well as Mac's Painterly paint-pot on my eyelids to prevent the black from creasing. After that, I powdered with a translucent powder from Ben Nye, and wouldn't you know: it lasted all night.
Even after my roll on the dancefloor smileys.

Preparations for spookier times!

I don't know whether it's widely acknowledged, or just a lesser know fact about me, but I simply love Halloween! That's why I've already planned out and started buying necessaries for what I'm gonna dress up as a whole month in advance. I realize that my costume is going to be slightly nerdier than most people can handle, but that just adds to the awesome footballer pictures.

... Considering that last year nobody picked up on me going as female version of "the Crow", but rather thought I was one of 'em KISS guys, I'll present my chosen costume in layman's terms...:

Darth Maul.

Well, although I'm completely open to the thought of crossdressing, and my inspiration is heavily drawn from Darth Maul, it isn't quite the thing I had in mind. So what I'm really going to dress up as would be more closely related to this:

My costume will more or less be a female sith zabrak. Of course, this has nothing to do with my ever-increasing enthusiasm for the upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: the Old Republic.

Being the devoted cosplayer I intent to become (haha..), I've already acquired some appropriate lenses.

I ordered these online, more specifically from http://www.youknowit.com/, and must say I'm amazed with how fast they were shipped to me and ended up in my mailbox. Not to mention that the price was affordable.

The lenses themselvs are quite decent, although my pale eyes and flash photography don't necessarily do them justice. I'll be mindful to stand in dark corners ^^.

I still have to get my face-paint, bald cap, craft a decent set of horns, as well as sew my costume, but with a little effort I'm sure I'll make it in time smileys.

To be continued....

I'm seeing stars!

So, I just downloaded this awesome, free software that enables you to peek at the starry sky whenever you would want. Just think of it as a celestial Google Earth ^^.

Anyway, you can get it at stellarium.org. And no, I'm not deviously sending you to some kind of shady site. My evil works in other ways (muahahaha) war smileys.

Who needs dignity when you can have Diglett?

I am super excited right now! News just reached me that Minecraft is making a pokemon mod! Yaaay!

Oh man, I'm gonna waste soo much time on this. Never mind school is starting tomorrow. But it's all about knowing what's important in life ;-p

Work, work, work.

Woah, I can't believe I haven't blogged for soo long. My gosh, I need to straighten up!

I did manage to find me a job in the end, and getting up at 4 in the morning does not inspire me to write a whole lot. Yes, that's right, 4 o'clock in the morning. I'm a breakfast waitress.

Anyway, I'm starting school this month, which will be a nice change to the sleep-work-eat-sleep cycle I have going on. But at least I'm getting filthy rich, wealthy, paid enough to get that laptop. Yay!
